All Indonesia Passenger Declaration System Trial in Indonesia
Indonesia is piloting a new digital service called “All Indonesia”, an integrated passenger declaration platform for international arrivals.
The system, launched by the Directorate General of Immigration, combines immigration, customs, health, and quarantine into one process. In the past, travellers had to complete these steps separately. As a result, confusion and delays were common.
Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono explained that the government is using the trial phase to refine the platform. “We want the system to run smoothly at launch. Public feedback is important, and we will continue to provide outreach and education,” he said on Saturday, August 23.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections Silmy Karim highlighted that similar systems already exist abroad. “This is about efficiency and convenience. Singapore, for example, requires travellers to submit data online before arrival,” he noted on Wednesday, August 13.
Currently, the All Indonesia passenger declaration system is available in a web version. However, a mobile app is in its final stage of development and will soon be released on iOS and Android. The app will ask for personal details, travel history, baggage information, and health data. In this way, all formalities are processed in one platform, creating a faster and more transparent arrival experience.
In addition to improving convenience, the initiative supports Indonesia’s broader digital transformation. Authorities expect faster clearance at airports, better data accuracy, and stronger coordination among agencies. Moreover, travellers will benefit from reduced paperwork and clearer entry requirements.
Nevertheless, challenges remain, especially in public adoption and technical integration. Therefore, officials stress that continuous feedback and education will be essential to ensure smooth implementation.
Finally, with this trial, Indonesia is aligning itself with global best practices in border management. The All Indonesia passenger declaration is expected to become a key part of the travel experience. Once fully launched, it promises to make entering Indonesia more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly.
